The SOLO Pro delivers a new generation of inspection control unit. The CCU provides the latest file standards and a 16 page color text writer. Beyond that it is flexible, lightweight and rugged.

Mini-Cam expects to take delivery this year of at least one van per month bearing the famous three-pointed star. All medium-bodied, high roofed Sprinter 311 CDI's, they will be arriving via Ciceley's Bolton depot, which last year supplied the company with 15 similar specified units.

Mini-Cam offers vehicles in different models and specifications, from the Mercedes Sprinter up to large capacity trucks. These can be tailored to customers exact requirements and equiped with the latest in pipe inspection technology, including Mini-Cam's own push camera systems, ROVVER™ and SUPERVISION™ crawler systems, the QUICKVIEW™ zoom camera and DIGISEWER™ side scanning system.

Operating from a purpose-built factory at Stonecross Park, Golborne, near Warrington, Mini-Cam has been adapting Sprinters for more than three years. Its customers range from major utilities companies to private contractors working for local authorities.

Managing Director Nigel Wilson explains: "We've converted the smaller Mercedes Vito and customers come to us with vehicles that they've sourced themselves, but our van of choice is the 3.5-tonne Sprinter."

Added to that is an unlimited mileage, three year warranty, which is backed by the manufacturer's extensive dealer network."

Customers of Mini-Cam also benefit from the fact that the Sprinters are supplied with a Mercedes-Benz Service Package. Under this, all labour costs, materials and lubricants required in routine servicing by a franchised dealer will be covered for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever is reached first.

A special attraction to the exhibition was our 'SUPERVISION ASSAULT COURSE' which allowed visitors to test their driving skills and experience the flexibility and manouverability of the SUPERVISION crawler system around the specially designed course. The overall winner with an incredible time of 1min 33.84 secs was David Glanville of GLANVILLE ENVIRONMENTAL LTD.

A hog roast and buffet was provided for lunch and entertainment was on hand all day in the form of Jim 'the magician' and Adam 'the caricaturist'.

The day was rounded off with the official opening of the building by Manchester City and England legend Mike Summerbee.
